That’s exactly why I created 'That’s What I Call Business '— to help heart-led beginners and seasoned pros grow together, learn together, and support each other in a space that’s fun, fresh, and full of purpose.

My Back Story

I’m originally from Luton, born and bred and I now live in beautiful Perth, Scotland. I moved here with my Dad who wanted to come home to his roots after losing my Mum back in 2016.

I am his full time carer and it’s been such a rewarding chapter. I’m loving the people, the pace, and the chance to build something special right here in this community.

I’ve always loved business. I spent over 20 years in Leadership, Creating Leaders and Teams in the retail sector. I loved my career but as time went on, I knew I wasn’t made for the 9–5 grind.

The Business and its values changed and I was no longer a good fit. I wasn’t built to be micromanaged or told when I could take a holiday — I was built for freedom, creativity, and connection. So I stepped away from the rat race and into the world of online business. At first? Totally overwhelmed. The courses felt cold, the communities didn’t feel like me, and the support I needed just wasn’t there. It's been a roller coster over the last 5 years but being self -employed creates a freedom that I never believed was possible.

Alongside my work, I’m a full-time carer, a proud gym-goer and weightlifter (who can trip over air), a big fan of sparkly shows (Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat is a fave!), and someone who’s always up for deep chats and belly laughs.

I’ve faced a lot of challenges — including a stroke in early 2024 that totally reshaped my view on life and reminded me how short and precious it really is. That was my wake-up call. No more waiting. No more dragging an idea around. It was time to do the thing — and help you do it too.
